The basis for the High Pressure Steam Boiler in open steam/condensate cycle

The basis for the GekaKonus® High Pressure Steam Boiler in open steam/condensate cycle type NWK-HP system is a modified GekaKonus® Natural Circulation Steam Boiler type NUK-HP® combined with a steam drum. The GekaKonus® NWK-HP system is being used in heating processes where the implementation of a closed steam/condensate cycle system is not possible.

Application/Advantages

Application
The GekaKonus® NWK-HP system is being used in heating processes where it is necessary to work with different steam pressures at different stages in the production process within the same system e.g. with different saturated steam temperature or in processes where the condensate can’t flow directed back into the feed water system.
The GekaKonus® High Pressure Steam Boiler in open steam/condensate cycle type NWK-HP system can be used for the thermal high-pressure-splitting process of fats and oils for the production of fatty acid and glycerine water.

Advantages
The release of changing time steam mass flows in adequate time intervals guarantees a constant steam pressure in the steam drum.
The released saturated steam is dry.
Boiler water should not be able to escape if the released steam mass flow does not exceed the capacity of the GekaKonus® NWK-HP.
A wide capacity control range depending on the type of burner can be offered.

We are also able to offer customized capacity ranges.

Production/Equipment

Production
Equipped and produced in conformity with the European Community technical rules (PED 2014/68/ EU), and other world-wide acceptance organisations (e.g. SELO, GOST-R, RTN, ASME, AS).

Equipment
The boiler equipment is for operation without supervision (acc. PED and EN 12952).

Capacity Control
The output capacity is controlled by pressure. The steam pressure measured in the steam drum gives the signal for the burner. Depending on the change in steam pressure the capacity of the burner is increased or reduced.

Burner

The NWK-HP® can be equipped with burners for light oil, heavy oil, bio diesel, natural gas, liquid gas, biogas, or with two-component burners. The choice of burner depends upon the boiler capacity, the fuel and the demands expected of capacity control.
The capacity can be controlled by modulating controlling.

A permanent supervision of the following parameters:

  • Stream Pressure – Operating
  • Stream Pressure – Maximum
  • Boiler Water – Normal Level
  • Boiler Water – Minimum Level
  • Boiler Water – Maximum Level
  • Exhaust Gas Temperature
  • Boiler Water – Density
  • Boiler Water – Blow Down
